After reforming in 2010 the APPCOG completed its inaugural research inquiry in 2011, launching the final report, "Preventing Carbon Monoxide Poisoning", in October that year. Since then, the group has produced a steady stream of research, provided an updated version of the 2011 inquiry and produced a new inquiry in 2015, looking at behavioural insights in efforts to prevent CO poisoning.

The group undertook an inquiry into the current Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (England) Regulation 2015, ahead of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) review into the legislation in October 2017, and also published a publication focusing on the healthcare sector and the role it could play in CO detection.

We are now considering research into carbon monoxide risks faced by health and social care workers who operate in patients' homes.
