Our Place, Our Data Report Launch
Policy Connect is delighted to invite you to the launch of Our Place Our Data: Involving local people in Data and AI-based recovery – a landmark All Party Parliamentary Data Analytics (APGDA) inquiry sponsored by the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).
The report launch will take place via Zoom Webinar on Thursday 1st of April 2021 at 10:30 featuring;
• Daniel Zeichner MP (Lab) Chair of the APPG for Data Analytics
• Lord Chris Holmes (Con) House of Lords AI Select Committee
• Prof Keely Crockett, MMU
• Floriane Fidegnon, Policy Connect
• Speaker from the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation
We invite you to contribute to the discussion following presentations from the speakers. Speakers will map out the key recommendations from the report, addressing how to improve trust in AI and what must be done to ensure all local areas, businesses and communities are supported to use digital services and technology to recover from the pandemic.
The report analyses the impact on trust in data and AI from the Covid-19 pandemic; draws on good practice developed in Greater Manchester and other local areas; and builds from the government’s recent consultation on the National Data Strategy.
We hope that you can join us for a discussion at the launch of Our Place Our Data: Involving local people in Data and AI-based recovery.
