Megan Hector

Policy and Research Manager

Megan worked at Policy Connect from August 2019 to December 2021, and led on research and policy work across the team.

She is worked on the Skills Commission's inquiry into careers information, advice and guidance and transitions into work. She previously authored the Higher Education Commission's report into disabled students' experiences of higher education, Arriving at Thriving, which launched in October 2020.

Prior to joining Policy Connect, Megan spent a year and a half working in employability and skills in local government, and before that completed an MSc in Gender, Policy and Inequalities at LSE. Between leaving local government and joining the team, she spent three months volunteering in Greece with refugee women and girls. Megan also holds a BA in English Language and Literature from King’s College London.

Outside of work Megan enjoys classical singing, dance, baking, reading, and learning new languages.
