Simon is Professor of International Higher Education at the UCL Institute of Education, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Higher Education and director of the ESRC/HEFCE Centre for Global Higher Education, a partnership of five UK and eight international universities. Simon has worked at the Institute of Education since October 2013. Prior to that he was Professor of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne (2006-2013). Simon is one of the world’s most cited scholar-researchers in higher education studies.
