The second evidence session of the Manufacturing Commission’s Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) Inquiry will be held at Cummins Turbo Technologies in Huddersfield. This session is being held in partnership with Cummins, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Made in Yorkshire.

The event is open to all local manufacturers and APMG members and will comprise of a networking breakfast, a presentation from the Combined Authority on their Local Industrial Strategy and a panel with business and LEP discussing the strategy. Following this, the group will break down into two smaller focus groups to drill down into how manufacturers in the region have found their Local Industrial Strategy, and how manufacturing can be best supported going forward. This session will be followed by a factory tour.

09.30 – 10.15 Panel – CA and Businesses discussing the LIS

10.15 – 10.30 Coffee Break

10.30 – 11.30 Focus Groups with manufacturers

11.30 – 12.30 Cummins Factory Tour
