Citzens' assemblies and the climate crisis
16:00 to 18:00
Through the efforts of groups like Extinction Rebellion, citizens' assemblies are increasingly being seen as valuable took for responding to the climate crisis.
At this round table we will discuss the evidence for the benefit of citizens assemblies in improving public policy and their potential use in informing the government's response to the climate crisis. The fundamental principles of citizens’ assemblies (and other forms of deliberation) will also be discussed.
This event will be chaired by Sarah Wollaston MP and is invite only. A summary will be available afterwards.
