The All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group is pleased to announce Optima UK as the latest supporter of the APPG.

Optima is a leading recruitment and business consultancy specializing in manufacturing and engineering.  Optima UK combines manufacturing business experts and time-served industry professionals together with Manufacturing and Engineering Degree qualified graduates.

Speaking on joining, Chairman and Chief Executive Larraine Boorman said:

"Having worked in manufacturing and engineering environments for most of my working life and experienced the ‘ups and downs’ of the economics of the sector, I am passionate about helping to drive growth and prosperity whilst also enhancing the skills and talent base which is imperative if we are to, once again, excel as a world class manufacturing and engineering nation.

As a seasoned Chairman and Chief Executive immersed in the industry, I have on many previous occasions represented industry in Westminster and Holyrood and assisted in industrial policymaking. Working extremely close to the ‘grass roots’ of the UK’s SME and corporate manufacturing and engineering base I have a deep insight into the challenges and opportunities the industry faces every day.

Optima is a leading recruitment and business consultancy specializing in manufacturing and engineering. Our staff combines manufacturing business experts and crucially important time-served industry professionals together with Manufacturing and Engineering Degree qualified graduates.  As a business, we have a unique and critical insight into the UK manufacturing workforce. We work collaboratively to help manufacturers grow, we get close to them, know their challenges, barriers, etc. Thus, can gain honest insight/intelligence from the sector, which we can pass on through the APMG to make positive differences within the industry."

The APMG is delighted to welcome Optima to the group and look forward to working with them and others to ensure that manufacturing remains at the forefront of the policy making agenda.
