WSBF Report Launch: ‘Building Better – Recommendations for a more sustainable UK construction sector’

January 2015

The Westminster Sustainable Business Forum held a conference event to launch its essay collection 'Building Better: Recommendations for a more sustainable UK construction sector'. This collection of expert essays explores a range of ideas aimed at improving sustainability across the construction sector, covering topics such as international markets and exports, regulations and standards, skills and education, infrastructure and energy efficiency, urbanisation and innovation.

The authors from across the construction industry have each tackled a different theme, making a recommendation to Government or industry to influence the terms of current and future debates around sustainability in the built environment. Contributing organisations included: UK Trade & Investment, BRE, Carillion, the Construction Industry Training Board, Willmott Dixon, and the University of Reading.

Six months later, the briefing is made available to the wider public here, on the WSBF website. If you would like to attend an event or receive our briefings, don't hesitate to contact us to find out how you can become a member of the Westminster Sustainable Business Forum.
