Rosie Cooper, MP
Rosie Cooper was elected the MP for West Lancashire in 2005. She held the position of Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to Lord Rooker, Minister of State, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2006 to 2007. In 2007 she was made PPS to Ben Bradshaw, initially when he was Minister of State in the Department of Health until 2009, when she followed him as his PPS when he was made Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. Rosie Cooper was a member of Liverpool Health Authority and then Vice-Chair between 1994 and 1996. In 1996 she became Chair of Liverpool Women’s Hospital. During her tenure as Chair the hospital gained Foundation Trust status. In addition, Rosie was also a trustee of the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and a former Director of the Merseyside Centre for Deaf People.
