Neil Grant

Research Fellow, Sustainability

Neil joined Policy Connect in February 2021 for a 6-month secondment from Imperial College London. He works on the All-Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group, specifically working on COP26.

Neil holds a BA in Natural Sciences and an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment, where his research focuses on the value of low-carbon technologies in achieving effective and equitable decarbonisation.

Neil has worked on UK climate policy with the Climate Change Committee, WWF and other environmental organisations. He is also a director of North Kensington Community Energy, an award-winning community benefit society which installs community-owned solar panels in West London.

Outside of Policy Connect, Neil can be found playing the piano and violin, riding his bike and climbing mountains (when restrictions allow!).
