Kevin Herron

Policy Project Coordinator

Kevin joined the Policy Connect Health Team in March 2022 as Policy Project Co-ordinator for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Carbon Monoxide. He works closely with the Policy Manager for Carbon Monoxide Safety, the Health Team and a wide variety of stakeholders to collaboratively develop policy solutions and ensure carbon monoxide issues are raised within the parliamentary agenda.

Kevin recently completed an internship at Seanad Éireann (Irish Senate), where his brief dealt with foreign & European affairs, defence & Brexit. Before entering the policy sphere, Kevin spent many years working as a professional musician, developing skills in performance and digital media. He also worked at the MacGill Summer School, one of Ireland’s leading political, socioeconomic, and cultural symposiums.

Kevin holds a BA (Hons) in Music and History and an MA in Music Performance from University College Cork (UCC). He recently completed MEconSc European Public Affairs and Law from University College Dublin (UCD) where he wrote a thesis on European security.

Outside of work, Kevin continues to play music and enjoys sea swimming, hiking and listening to podcasts.
