Policy Connect

Faiza joined Policy Connect in June 2025 as a Project Coordinator for the Health and Accessibility teams.

Faiza previously volunteered for an African women led organisation women’s rights organisation tackling gender-based violence and violence against women and girls, where she contributed to advocacy and policy work centred on the health and rights of women and girls from African communities.

Faiza holds a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography from University of West of England and a Master of Public Health (Global Health) from the University of Birmingham. Her Master’s dissertation explored the mental health experiences of Black African and Afro-Caribbean service users in the UK. She is fluent in English and Somali with conversational proficiency in Swahili and Danish.

Outside of work, Faiza enjoys travelling, reading, live music and learning new languages.
