Professor Tom Woolley to chair All-Party Parliamentary Carbon Monoxide Group Stakeholder Forum

The All-Party Parliamentary Carbon Monoxide Group (APPCOG) is delighted to welcome Professor Tom Woolley as chair of the APPCOG Stakeholder Forum.

Professor Woolley is a highly esteemed industry leader, known for his work on sustainable architecture and construction. He is chair of the steering group for the SPF UK Clean Air Program.

Professor Woolley has carried out a number of studies on indoor air quality.  His latest book, published by Routledge, is “Building Materials, Health and Indoor Air Quality”. He is the former chairman of the Northern Ireland Building Regulations Advisory Committee and currently a member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee.

The group is indebted to Chris Bielby MBE, the outgoing chair, who has expertly chaired the APPCOG Stakeholder Forum since 2016.

Chris Bielby is a past President and Fellow of the Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers (IGEM) and has spent the last three decades tirelessly lobbying and canvassing support for gas safety issues, particularly around carbon monoxide as chairman of the Gas Industry Safety Group, Gas Safety Trust and the Gas Task Group.

Under his chairmanship, the APPCOG Stakeholder Forum has grown significantly in numbers, built expertise, and engaged many key industries.

The next meeting of the APPCOG Stakeholder Forum will be held online via Zoom on 13 July at 10;00 - 11:30am.
