Priorities for net zero and sustainability in 2022: Sustainability reception

Policy Connect's sustainability team hosted a reception in parliament, inviting parliamentarians, stakeholders and members to an evening to discuss priorities for net zero and sustainability this year.

Yesterday's exciting event in parliament brought with it a large crowd of sustainability experts and parliamentarians ready to discuss what is needed from the various sustainability sectors to reach the UK's net zero ambitions.

The event was introduced by Head of Sustainability, Rein de Loor and Policy Connect CEO, Natascha Engel, who led the way for our event speakers:

  • Alan Whitehead MP
  • Mike Lewis, CEO, E.ON UK
  • Tim Rotheray, Director of ESG at Viridor
  • Dr Laurie King, Manchester Metropolitan University
  • Dr Yagya Regmi, Manchester Metropolitan University
  • Wera Hobhouse MP

We were joined by members from Carbon Connect, Sustainable Resource Forum, Westminster Sustainable Business Forum and the APPGs on Climate Change, and Sustainable Resources.

It was a wonderful evening and we are grateful for everyone who turned up and for all our members' continued interest, involvement and engagement in our work.

This reception was kindly sponsored by E.ON and Viridor.
