On 20th October the WSBF will launch its year-long inquiry, Bricks and Water: Building Resilience for England’s Homes

This work builds on the success of our 2018 report of the same name, which explored water and housebuilding, making recommendations to Government on planning policy, water resources, and flooding.  This inquiry investigates how we can build homes that are resilient to a changing climate, with a focus on water efficiency, flood resilience, and sustainable drainage.  The inquiry also puts forward a system for measuring the ‘water performance’ of existing buildings to help homeowners and landlords adapt their properties and save money.

The inquiry has been Chaired by Baroness McIntosh of Pickering, former Chair of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs Committee and co-chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Water.

The launch will be held online, via webinar and will feature an expert panel (TBC) with experience across Government, business, and the water industry.

If you would like to attend this event please contact WSBF Policy Manager, Rob Allen.
