This Seminar will bring together members of the All-Party Parliamentary Sustainable Resource Group (APSRG) to discuss the key elements needed in the Resources and Waste Strategy, which is due to be published over the course of 2018.

With the input from sector experts and policy-makers, this seminar aims to discuss:

  • how can we increase resource productivity and what steps do we need to take to initiate the journey to significantly improved resource productivity?
  • what role does producer responsibility play in achieving greater resource productivity?
  • how can we stimulate markets for secondary materials?
  • what is the role of recylcing targets and how can we move away from weight-based targets?
