Big Data in Transport

Big Data in Transport

6th March 2018
09:00 - 11:00

The All Party Parliamentary Group on Data Analytics is delighted to host a panel discussion that will bring together leading figures from the transport and manufacturing sectors to discuss how big and open data can be used to make Britain’s transport infrastructure safer, cleaner and more efficient.

As HS2 begins construction in 2018, and with new innovations in mobile apps, Smart Motorways and data collection, this panel discussion will examine the current state of play in Britain’s infrastructure and how Parliamentarians can work with industry to see how data can support the trains, planes and automobiles of the future.

The panel will include representatives from Government, infrastructure and manufacturing. A networking breakfast will also be provided, and we hope to be joined by the Minister for Transport, Jo Johnson, to provide the views of his new Department.

Daniel Zeichner MP: Chair, APGDA and Member for Cambridge

Jo Johnson: Minister of State for Transport (TBC)

Eman Martin-Vignerte: Director of Government Affairs, Bosch

Eifion Jenkins: Data Programme Director, Transport Systems Catapult

Cllr Stephen Canning: Cabinet Member for Data, Essex County Council

Lauren Sager-Weinstein: Chief Data Officer, Transport for London

We hope that you will be able to join us for this timely and engaging event.
