Smart Home Expo 2019

Smart Home Expo 2019

11th March 2019

APPGAT manager Clive Gilbert and APPGAT associate member Hereford College's Paul Doyle will deliver seminar at this year's Smart Home Expo, which is taking place on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th March at the Birmingham NEC.

The Smart Home Expo is an annual event that explores the future of connected homes by showcasing the latest innovations in artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, automation and other key technological developments.

As the government prepares to publish its social care green paper, Clive and Paul will explore the emerging role of smart home technologies in supporting disabled and older people to live independently. They will review the latest technological developments that are supporting greater individual choice and autonomy, and consider how public policy and industry practice must evolve to make the most of the benefits of smart homes while mitigating against potential risks.

Policy Connect is pleased to participate as a partner of the event.
