The Creative Exchange - Panel Discussion and Reception

The Creative Exchange - Panel Discussion and Reception

24th November 2015
4-6pm

Held in association with the AHRC-funded Creative Exchange Project, this panel discussion will present some case studies generated from the project and explore the value of creativity in education, artistic practice, industry and local commissioning.

The Creative Exchange was set up in 2012 to develop an experimental new knowledge exchange network to generate value in the UK’s creative sector. In the four years since the start of the project, the Creative Exchange has united 120 researchers in the arts and humanities with 180 partners in industry, publicly funded bodies and community groups to research and prototype innovative new services, products and experiences related to the emergence of a digital public space in the UK. Speakers include:

Chi Onwurah MP, Shadow Minister for the Digital Economy

Ben Howlett, Conservative Member for Bath

Bill Thompson, Technology Critic

Lee Omar, Red Ninja, CX Industry Partner

Lara Salinas, Lancaster University, CX PhD Candidate

Professor Richard Koeck, Centre for Architecture and the Visual Arts (CAVA), Liverpool University

Professor Jeremy Myerson, Helen Hamlyn Centre, Royal College of Art

As the project reaches its conclusion, we want to showcase the value created by the network, and to debate the implications for digital public space, the creative industries and public policy.  If you wish to attend this event, please contact us by email
