Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust joins WSBF Inquiry

We are pleased to announce that the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust have agreed to co-sponsor WSBF's upcoming Parliamentary Inquiry into Water and Housing. The WWT join Inquiry headline sponsors Anglian Water, and fellow co-sponsors Yorkshire Water and The British Board of Agrément in supporting the report.

Due to be published in 2018, the inquiry will look to form an action plan using the latest research and best practice on the sustainable management of new housing growth.

About WWT

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a conservation charity that saves wetlands, which are essential for life itself. Wetlands are the primary source of drinking water for people and wildlife. They also connect us with nature, and with ourselves, through beautiful landscapes and inspiring encounters with wildlife.

Commenting on their decision to support the WSBF Inquiry, Richard Benwell of the WWT said:

“With a DEFRA SuDS review underway, a focus on resilience in OFWAT's PR19, the first National Infrastructure Plan under development, and a new Housing Bill on the way, we have a rare moment of opportunity to make the next million homes in England brilliant and truly sustainable. WWT is pleased to be able to help Policy Connect’s important work to make it happen”.
