Adaptable 'lego block' buildings needed for resilient future cities

New buildings must be adaptable to respond to climate change

Ant Wilson MBE of AECOM attended WSBF's Built to Last event in Parliament, and said that new construction projects must be built in movable blocks and units, so that the building can be adapted or deconstructed with ease based on future requirements. 

This 'lego blocks' design would make buildings much more adaptable to the changing climate. Mr Wilson maintained that there was significant room for improvement in the construction industry in understanding how to build adequately cool buildings and prevent overheating.
