Clare Minchington has worked at the interface of professional and higher education for over 20 years. Until March 2015 she was the Executive Director for Strategy and Development at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) responsible for ACCA's intellectual capital, from the overall strategy to talent, brand, policy and qualifications. She currently works as a strategic consultant for professional bodies and universities.
A qualified accountant, having trained with PwC (formerly Price Waterhouse), prior to joining ACCA in 2000 she was Chair of the MBA Financial Strategy course at the Open University Business School.
Clare has held a number of national and international appointments in the field of professional and higher education including board membership of IFAC’s International Accounting Education Standards Board, the CISI Examination Board, the Advisory Board of the Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for Business, Management, Accountancy and Finance, and Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board for Oxford Brookes University Business School.
She is a trustee and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee for the Terrence Higgins Trust and a director of Policy Connect, a leading not-for-profit network of Parliamentary groups and research commissions.
