We are guided by a nine-strong board who bring with them a diverse range of experience in both the private and not-for-profit sectors and provide strategic direction and oversight to our activities.


John Cox


  • Former Shell director with interest in the skills & voluntary sector
  • Chairman, UK Centre for Economic & Environmental Development
  • Former elected member of Westminster City Council

Duncan Eaton


  • APHG Executive Advisor
  • Former Chief Executive of the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency
  • Worked in the NHS for over 30 years: Former Director of Operations with North West Thames, Regional Health Authority, Chief Executive of South Bedfordshire Health Authority and Chief Executive of Bedfordshire Health Authority

Jacqui Henderson CBE


  • Extensive management experience within the learning & skills sector
  • Former Regional Director for the LSC in London, former Chief Executive of UK Skills and Managing Director at Northumberland TEC
  • Awarded CBE in January 2001 for services to education and training

Peter Jones OBE


  • Former director, Biffa Waste Services Ltd and has over 18 years of experience in the waste industry
  • Chair of the DEFRA/DTI Resource Efficiency KTN
  • Trustee of Waste Watch

Phil Kirby


  • Civil and Structural engineer, former MD of National Grid property
  • Trustee and Council member of Architectural Heritage Fund
  • Member of Lord Rogers’ Urban Task force producing the report “Towards an urban Renaissance”
  • Former Chair of Cl:aire and of Exsite both dealing with aspects of contaminated land
  • Awarded the OBE in 2000 for services to the environment

Clare Morley


  • Director of Education and Training at The Association of Accounting Technician's (AAT)
  • 14 years' experience working for awarding and professional body
  • Previously worked in staff training for major Australian insurance company

Les Pyle


  • Chief Executive of Partnership Sourcing Limited since 2001
  • Formerly a director of ICL (latterly Fujitsu)
  • Over 18 years of experience in the IT industry, primarily in international procurement and supply chain management
 

Lynva Russell


  • Became Chief executive in 2006
  • Board member and former CE of Urban Mines, an environmental charity
  • 25 years experience in public, private and not-for-profit sector
