Polarisation of education?

Writing in the Guardian, Roger White, Chief Executive of Asdan (Award Scheme Development and Accreditation Network) comments on what he says as an increasing polarisation between academic and skills based education.

White discusses Asdan’s history and the relationship between academic and skills education. White argues that the education system in England is still driven by ideology, and suggests that over the coming years we could see the polarization of academic and less academic education.

He comments: "We are going to see polarisation again between the academic and less academic, which the education system has done so much to eradicate in recent years…Michael Gove could make a real name for himself and create a lasting legacy by running education through cross-party consensus”.
