New employability degree
Plymouth University has designed a new business degree course which aims to give students more opportunities to develop employability skills by embedding work experience within the degree. Throughout the degree students will be matched with local businesses to undertake real life projects. The degree will be trialled from this September.
Hilary Duckett, Associate Dean of Teaching at Plymouth's School of Management commented: "In the past, business courses have tended to be quite theoretical and backwards looking by their very nature. Our approach will provide the opportunity to record workplace learning and higher level skills developed as part of higher education programmes".
