Lifelong Learning: Report from New Year Dinner 2011

In late January, Parliamentarians and senior figures from the further education and skills sectors gathered in the House of Commons for the annual National Skills Forum / Associate Parliamentary Skills Group New Year's Dinner.

Alan Tuckett, outgoing Chief Executive of the National Institute of Adult and Continuing Education gave the keynote speech, with Skills Minister John Hayes MP and Shadow Skills Minister Gordon Marsden MP speaking in reply. This was followed by a wide-ranging question and answer session with the Minister.

We have produced a report of the evening's discussions.
