The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Skills and Employment (APGSE), chaired by Nic Dakin MP and Heidi Allen MP, is hosting a ‘Metro Mayors Skills Forum’ event to debate how devolution, and the election of regional Mayors, will affect and shape skills provision across the country.
This Parliamentary event will provide attendees with a timely opportunity to discuss and examine how the office of Mayor will be central to shaping local skills solutions, and how elected mayor's will drive the region’s skills agenda forward. We will discuss the role further devolution will play in shaping skills provision across the country as a whole.
Joining us at the forum will be a cross section of mayoral candidates from across England, representing each of the major political parties. These include:
In the audience will be Parliamentarians, Group members, and employers from across the wider employer network of the Group’s secretariat, Policy Connect. We will also be joined by sector leaders from across the metro-mayor regions, some of whom are members of the All-party Group.
If you would like more information, please contact Aaron Bowater, the Group’s secretariat at email@example.com . He can provide further details on the Group and the event.
