CPPC and APPG meeting with Ann Keen
On 28th October 2009, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Chronic Pain and the CPPC met with Ann Keen, Parliamentary-Under-Secretary for Health Services and representatives from the CMO’s office and the Department of Health.
The meeting was arranged to get an update from the Department of Health on the extent of progress in implementing the Chief Medical Officer’s annual report recommendations on the management of chronic pain. It was also an opportunity to discuss children’s pain services, particularly in light of Sir Ian Kennedy’s inquiry into NHS children’s services.
