Officers

Parliamentary Officers

The Officers of the Associate Parliamentary Health Group are responsible to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards for the activities and conduct of the Group, and together with the Advisory Board provide the motivation and leadership that makes the initiative a success.

Elected annually by fellow members of the House of Commons and House of Lords, the Officers are drawn from across the political spectrum, involving members from the 3 major parties and non-party independents.

All the Officers of the Group hold a key personal interest in health issues, many having worked in the health sector in a professional capacity, and collectively represent some of the most prominent and respected parliamentarians on the issues of health.
