Roundtable: Improving Business and Industry Energy Efficiency

This roundtable will examine the government's plans to improve business and industry productivity.

The Clean Growth Strategy put forward a plan to 'develop a package of measures to support businesses to improve their energy productivity, by at least 20 per cent by 2030'. This included plans to improve the energy efficiency of new and existing commercial buildings, consult on raising minimum standards of energy efficiency for rented commercial buildings, and consult on the requirements for businesses to measure and report on energy use. It also suggested measures for industry such as an Industrial Energy Efficiency scheme to help large companies install measuresto cut their energy use and bills.

This event will examine the details of the potential energy productivity target and how policy could support businesses to meet it. It is being run in collaboration with the All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group.
