Resource Efficient Europe Road Map Published
Series of commitments to waste made

The European Commission has published it's 'Roadmap to a Resource Efficient Europe' which sets out to achieve a resource-effcient and low-carbon economy in the European Union. The document outlines the Commission's views on a strategic framework aimed to aid the EU's economic and ecological security through more efficient use of resources. The Commission believes that a more intelligent use of finite resources is a strategic imperiative, as well as being an opportunity.
