The global markets for recycled materials were greatly affected by the global ecomonic downturn during the end of 2008, with the demand for all material streams suffering significant depreciation. As Parliament, policy-makers and the wider sector sought answers to this pressing problem, this event enabled all engaged stakeholders to hear how Government was reacting to this issue and highlight and debate possible solutions.
