DEFRA Announces Timeline for Waste Strategy

Strategy to be published in the new year

Defra has announced that the outcome of the waste review will be published in April 2011. The document will outline the priorities for the waste sector, and how to stimulate economic growth whilst protecting the environment.

Defra has now issued a call for evidence for the review, which will use a different format to encourage feedback from consumers as well as stakeholders, to ensure that a wide range of opinions are published.
