Increase in household recycling in England
Provisional data shows latest Local Authority statistics

Recent provisional stastics made public by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), show that the English household recycling rate (including composting and reuse) rose from 39.7 precent to 40.8 percent from the finacial years April 2009 and March 2010 to January 2010 and December 2010. The figures also show that household waste production has decreased, along with the figures for waste generation per person.
