What actions should Parliament and the Government take to reduce food waste?

The House of Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee has recently published its inquiry into food waste in England.

They make a number of recommendations as to how food waste policy can be improved, including, among others, the adoption of a national food waste target and the introduction of requirements for large food retailers to publish food waste data.

This event, chaired by Baroness Jenkin of Kennington (Trustee of WRAP) will be a panel discussion which aims to scrutinise the recommendations made by the EFRA Committee’s inquiry.

The event aims to provide an opportunity for Parliamentarians and senior figures from the sustainability community to discuss this report in order to identify the key next steps for food waste policy.
