English household waste recycling continues to rise

Recent figures published by Defra detail progress made in English household recycling. The data reveals that recycling increased to 40.3% for the year to the end of September 2010, an increase for the recycling rate recorded within the same time period last year- 38.8%. The figures released also show a 43% quarterly recycling performance rate for July to September 2010.
