Defra's Review of Waste Policies Published
Highly anticipated government review delivered

The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Rt Hon Caroline Spelman MP, has announced her department's review of waste policies. The review, which covers all aspects of waste policy, from local collection services to landfill tax policy, outlined the government's policies and priorities on the road to a 'zero carbon economy'. The review has a particular focus on moving up the waste hierachy and waste prevention, and special attention was also paid to making recycling easier, especailly for small to medium sized businesses.
