Benyon Backs Recyclebank Style Incentive Schemes
Government scoping how to promote councils use of incentives

Responding to a written parliamentary question posed by Zac Goldsmith, Conservative MP for Richmond Park, regarding the national roll out of Recyclebank and other recycling reward schemes, Richard Benyon MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Natural Environment revealed the Government's backing for rewards based systems. The Minister outlined how the Government believes that rewards schemes such as Recycle bank, rather than penalities, are a better way of encouraging recycling and other beneficial behaviours.
