Jason is the MP for Colne Valley.

He was an RAF Officer for 9 years, serving with tours in Turkey, Las Vegas and on the Northern Iraq border. He reached the rank of Flight Lieutenant.

In 1997 he left the RAF to go to University to study broadcast journalism. He was a reporter for BBC Radio in Leeds & Middlesbrough and then a presenter/journalist for Calendar News and Sport at ITV Yorkshire. Jason is an avid supporter of Huddersfield Town football club.

Jason is President of the Huddersfield RAFA and a member of the Royal British Legion.

He lives in Honley and on May 6th 2010, was elected as the Member of Parliament for Colne Valley. In Parliament Jason is Vice Chair of the Northern Rail Group and Post Offices Group.
