Online and Digital Identity Roundtable

Online and Digital Identity Roundtable

17th January 2018
14:45 – 16:45

The All Party Group on Data Analytics (APGDA) is delighted to host an exclusive Parliamentary roundtable discussion about the about the future for online identity in the public and private sectors.

The event will be Chaired by the Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP, former Treasury Minister and Vice-Chair of the APGDA. Attendees include parliamentarians, academics and business leaders.

The aim of the roundtable is to examine the challenges and opportunities that online identity regulation offers to companies and the public sector in a parliamentary and legislative context, particular with regard to matters affecting security of data and personal details. It will also give industry members and academics the opportunity to discuss these matters frankly with MPs and Peers.

The matters raised by the roundtable will go on to form a briefing paper, which will be circulated to MPs and Peers ahead of the forthcoming House of Commons debate on the Government’s Digital Protection Bill, which is expected to take place early in 2018.

We expect to be joined by a wide-range of senior figures for a detailed and high-profile discussion and very much hope that you will be able to participate.
