This is a great example of British High-Tec engineering. The product is used in Satellite News Gathering and military satellite communications. The Upconverter takes in a low frequency microwave signal and upconverts it to a higher microwave frequency. A built in power amplifier then boosts this signal so that it is of a high enough level that it can be transmitted to the satellite (to form the uplink). Unlike the majority of satellite communication systems which use frequency converters, this product offers a very compact units with both the upconverter and power amplifier integrated into a single product.
