Griffon Hoverwork Ltd has pioneered the development of the hovercraft and has been involved in the manufacture and operation of hovercraft since they were first conceived over 40 years ago.  The World's first hovercraft operation was set up by the founders of the business, alongside Sir Christopher Cockerell, the inventor of the hovercraft.
