McLaren MP4-12C Engine, by Ricardo

"Ricardo is the manufacturer of the fantastic new McLaren MP4-12C sports car engine.  The new McLaren is in fact the world's greenest supercar and is a product of a great innovative partnership between Ricardo and McLaren of Woking who have proved that Britain still has the potential to be world leaders in engineering and manufacturing.  The supercar has some amazing characteristics and at £150,000 a car, it is half the price of other cars in its league.  The most impressive part about the 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 engine, which has 592 brake horsepower and the ability to get from 0 to 124mph in just 8.9 seconds, is that it is also environmentally friendly, producing substantially less carbon emissions than its counterparts.  Predictably, there is already huge demand for the new supercar with advanced orders for the next two years, which has created at least 40 new jobs in my constituency."
