The Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change, Gregory Barker MP, addressed the group on the challenge of keeping the UK's manufacturing sector competitive in the context of rising energy prices.

This meeting, the Group's first since the Autumn Statement, was called as an opportunity for Government, Parliament, industry, academia and the third sector to have an open discussion, in a neutral cross-party setting, on a key issue in industrial policy: energy and UK competitiveness.
