Design Commission: Inquiries

The Design Commission develops design policy thinking through its inquiries: inviting evidence and contributions from expert witnesses, deliberating, and making recommendations.


In the context of new conditions of global scarcity, the Commission has been focussing on how design can help address key challenges for government, through its 'Restarting Britain' publication series. Published work has looked at education and economic growth, and public service reform and rebalancing. Forthcoming work will look at emerging industrial sectors, and democratic engagement.
