APGDI hosts Rural Transport Roundtable with Robert Key MP
Chaired by Robert Key, MP for Salisbury, the discussion focused on innovative, design-led solutions to the problems posed by rural transport provision, and. The Design Council attended, speaking about their pioneering and highly successful DOTT project, as well as representatives from consultancy Frost & Sullivan, the DfT and the Commission for Integrated Transport.
Design lunch for Parliamentary researchers
On 20th February, the APGDI brought key design and innovation experts into Parliament to speak at an informal and informative lunch. Lynne Maher, Head of Innovation at the NHS Institute for Innovation, and Emily Thomas, Policy Advisor for the Design Council, discussed the value of innovative solutions and working with designers. Researchers were given the opportunity to learn a little more about the relevance of design and industry, as well as a free lunch!
