EnergyUK officially launched its 2017 CO BeAlarmed! campaign in Parliament on Wednesday 29th March. Carbon Monoxide – Be Alarmed! is the national campaign to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by carbon monoxide. Since 2008, the campaign has encouraged people to install carbon monoxide alarms in their homes.
Manager of our Energy Safety team, Sara Abuzaid, and Researcher and Project Officer, Jake Botham, both pictured, stopped by to support the campaign on Wednesday.
They were joined by MPs including Barry Sheerman, Madeleine Moon, Margaret Ferrier, Gerald Jones and Alberto Costa. The turnout was impressive, and it was encouraging to see so many within Parliament back this important issue.
